I thought this was too obvious to post, but through today only 15% of all people on ESPN own this guy so I guess it’s worthwhile. Torrey Smith was a 2nd round draft pick out of Maryland in this year’s draft, and until Sunday he hadn’t gotten in a game. For anyone who missed last week’s Ravens game, Lee Evans was hurt, so Smith got his chance to make his first career start. He trots out and his first catch is a 74 yard touchdown. His second catch? A 41 yard touchdown. His third catch? An 18 yard touchdown. Final stats: five catches, 152 yards. Looks like Smith won’t be relinquishing that starting spot any time soon. It’s worth noting that Smith did pull his hamstring last week, and is officially listed as questionable this week. That said, he’s going to be a deep threat for the Ravens all year and is well-worth picking him up on the waiver wire, if it’s not too late.
