Is Eddie Royal A Fluke?

16 Sep

Eddie Royal

It is only week 2 of the 2013 NFL season and Eddie Royal already has 5 receiving touchdowns? At this point it looks like he is Philip Rivers’ favorite target since Denario Alexander is out for the entire season. I had thought Vincent Brown was the next big receiver in San Diego but Eddie Royal has proven me wrong. We didn’t see any action from Royal last year because he was injured and the years before that he played on the Broncos with shitty quarterbacks including Tim Tebow. His rookie year with Denver he put up 1,000 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. Maybe this is going to be Continue reading

What Will Aaron Hernandez’s Outcome Be?

27 Jun nfl-player-aaron-hernandez-charged-with-murder

As you must have seen in the media by now, Aaron Hernandez has been charged with first degree murder among several other gun charges. It looks very much like he was directly involved with the murder of Odin Lloyd even though there still hasn’t been hard evidence released. However, several other football players have gotten away with murder such as Ray Lewis, OJ Simpson, and Donte Stallworth. It’s not looking good for Hernandez, who has had some troubles in the past. For someone who had potential to be one of the NFL’s best tight ends, just got paid $40 million, and is only 23 years old, he quickly got himself into quite a bit of trouble. But with his money, his lawyers, it’s possible that even if he was involved with Lloyd’s murder, he will get off without jail time. So what do you think will happen?

Miami Heat Harlem Shake

4 Mar

The reigning champions show off some of their dance moves as the team went from stretching to making a Harlem Shake video. If it wasn’t impressive enough going 12-1 in February, they have succeeded in presenting this hilarious video. Can you imagine someone prompting Kobe Bryant to make a video like this with his team- that would be an interesting conversation. Kobe can’t even make small talk with any of his teammates, unless it’s with one of their wives. This just goes to show the Heat have way more chemistry than any other team in the NBA.

How Far Will Russell Wilson Go?

9 Jan

Russell Wilson is the only rookie quarterback that has a shot at winning the Superbowl this year. His first playoff win was impressive. However, Wilson still has a lot to prove and he’s going to have the biggest challenge of his short career up against the Atlanta Falcons. With Mike Nolan’s always creating ways to fluster quarterbacks, Wilson has to be on his game. He may opt to scramble more but with the way Atlanta likes to blitz, he’s going to have throw in the pocket. Will he make it to the Superbowl, and possibly win it all?

Katherine Webb Was the Best Thing to Come Out of the BCS National Championship

8 Jan 010813-BCS-Katherine-Webb-600

Last night, Notre Dame was dominated by Alabama from start to finish in the 2013 BCS National Champtionship. They were beat so bad that Kate Upton compared the Irish to the Jets. It was a dissapointing game for anyone that wanted to see Alabama lose and a boring game overall. The ESPN cameras and announcers were so bored, they shifted their focus to AJ McCarron’s girlfriend, Katherine Webb, who was probably the most searched female on google today. ESPN announcer Brent Musburger remarked that Webb was a beautiful woman as the cameras revisited her. “Wow, I’m telling you quarterbacks: You get all the good-looking women,” he said. During the game her twitter followers jumped from 2,000 to over 175,000. She even got the attention of Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett, who tweeted Webb his telephone number and suggested they meet after the game.

There’s no doubt about it, Katherine Webb is a hottie and the camera crews should have focused more of their time on her than the game last night. She was Miss Alabama 2012 and is about to become Miss NSD. Check out her pics below…

2012 Fantasy Football Sleepers

4 Sep

Looking for some deep sleepers for your fantasy football team? I’ve gone through the depth charts and filtered out several players across multiple positions that you should be able to draft in later rounds or pick up off of the free agent list. I personally play in a 12-team keeper league that has two flex positions so finding a stud with a breakout year is crucial. Below are my results…

QB

Russell Wilson – Coming into his first season into the NFL, Wilson will be given the reigns of the Seahawks. He’ll be on a short leash after the team sunk a big contract into Matt Flynn, but at least he has the chance to create his own destiny. His inexperience may lead to mistakes, but he’s a dual threat with his throwing and running abilities. He’ll bring a lot of flavor to a survival group looking for excitement living in a desolate world, but could be out early with a few mistakes.

RB

Isaiah Pead – ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on SportsCenter Monday that the Rams envision No. 50 overall pick Isaiah Pead as Steven Jackson’s eventual successor. Schefter stated that Continue reading

NSD Approved: Lauren Tannehill

13 Aug 0

Since Chad Johnson was cut from the Miami Dolphins yesterday, this year’s Hard Knocks season just went down a level in excitement. However, for anyone that watched last week’s premier episode, I’m sure you noticed Ryan Tannehill’s wife, Lauren Tannehill. Sure, the Hard Knocks series has featured several of the players’ wives in past seasons, and many of them have been hot, but none of them have gotten as much attention as Continue reading
