When there is a solo singer hitting out his/her albums with electrifying songs, he has to make sure that it enraptures the audience. He has to be ready to take the positive and negative claims while the live performance. He has to indulge in wide variety and mixes so as to not to get stuck in one particular genre. Some times, it becomes quite tricky to generate the same appeal before the audience and gather the applauding. Continue reading
We all loved “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith back in the 90s when they brought us the single, Jump. Actually, it’s still good, I get pretty pumped up every time it rotates through my music shuffle. Unfortunatly, Chris Kelly won’t be krossing or jumping around anymore. I never understood wearing the pants backwards, I guess they were trying to start a new trend.
Chris Kelly, half of the 1990s kid rap duo Kris Kross — who made one of the decade’s most memorable songs with the frenetic “Jump” — died at an Atlanta hospital on Wednesday of an apparent drug overdose at his home, authorities said. He was 34.
Check out the video Jump as a tribute to Chris Kelly.
Were Katy Perry’s boobs up for an award last night at the 2013 Grammy Awards? She was not holding back her cleavage one bit. CBS released a memo prior to Sunday night’s 2013 Grammy Awards asking that stars tone down the skin show on the red carpet — Katy Perry apparently did not receive that memo. I’m not at all a fan of John Mayer’s music, but I respect his game. Dude absolutely crushes hot celebrities. We all laugh at him, but he gets all the Grade A pussy. John, I hate-respect you.
Almost a year ago, Avicii and Nicky Romero introduced us to Nicktim, an unbelievable track produced by two of the best DJs in the EDM world. We cruised through the summer raging to Nicktim, it wasn’t a good night without it. In the last month, Avicii and Nicky Romero released the track with vocals added and it is back on top of the charts. This is a must listen, check it out.
Last week while playing some NBA 2k13 while drinking with some buddies, someone said to throw on some music by Krewella. As I was sifting through their main hits on youtube, my buddy said to make sure to choose one of their music videos and direct the laptop towards everyone. I obliged.
The next five minutes of my life were fucking awesome. Krewella is an electronic dance music group of three DJs, two of which are babes. And sure enough, their music videos mainly just follow the two girls around doing hot things including partying, bikinis, and showing a lot of themselves. The group is fairly new as of 2012, straight out of Chicago, and consists of Jahan, Yasmine, and Rain Man. They have great house music/dubstep with some trendy vocals. Checkout below for some music and pics… Their music videos are great feel good vibes to get through a cold winter. There also is some entertaining backstage/touring/partying throughout the videos.
Wow. I don’t know who Nause is but put this song on in literally any event and you will calmly get up from whatever you are doing, walk to the nearest club, and begin drinking heavily and hitting on random girls. Why is this not the #1 song in America right now? This is legitimately one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. You can actually tell I’m listening to the song as I type this, since I am getting more and more excited with each word I type. From the word “calmly” to now, it has been 3 seconds. I feel like I just did about 6 drugs at once. Can’t keep sitting here…..leaving now…..enjoy the long weekend, happy “get blackout with old high school friends while seeing who got fat” night, don’t get a DUI, and happy thanksgiving from all of us at NSD.
Just came across this remix of Aloe Blacc’s skirt jam of an original “I Need a Dollar,” which was used as the theme song in the underrated “How to Make it in America” which was devastatingly cancelled despite my public appeal which garnered millions of devoted NSD readers in my attempts. People sneeringly called it “An Entourage rip-off in New York City.” What? Why are you sneering? Sounds like a great description of a show, and it was. Either way, this remix is great and the video is worth a watch if only for the shots of NYC. This video alone should get the rest of the NSD staff in DC on a train up to visit me. I know you see this GaddafiDuck and DJStrongIsland. Enjoy the weekend.
