Masters 2011 – Tiger Woods Back to No.1? What caused the “fall”?

9 Apr

Make no mistake about it; I love Tiger Woods.  No other athlete has dominated a sport to the level that he has ever in the history of the world.  A lot compete for second place; Michael Jordan comes to mind.  However, in reality, Tiger has it, even if he is not ranked first in the world at the time of this writing.

Commentators around the world state with certainty that just his presence in a tournament turn the strongest of men into quivering girls – and that is before anyone ever tees off.  Spectators ask one question when they see golf on TV or in person, “How is Tiger playing?”.  Crap, even the pros that play in the same tournament as him, know Tiger’s score better than their own.

The second round at the Master’s has come to a close and I just watched Tiger make a huge run to end the day 3 back from the lead.  The fact that August National is the home of Tiger Woods is better known throughout the world than the White House is the home of the President of the United States of America.  There is no better time nor place for him to make, what commentators call, a “return” to world golf domination.  In fact, studies have show that this “return” has been met with more anticipation than the second coming of Christ or the end of the world in 2012.

He has the strongest mind of any other human being that has walked the planet.  Just watch the famed Nike commercial “Never” where his father walks you through his upbringing.  Perhaps the most motivational commercial ever – I even might have shed a tear.  So what happened to Tiger in the last couple years?  Far be it from us at NSD to speculate.  But we have all seen the “good girl gone bad” – dang it, it defined half the girls we went to college with!  We understand, that everyone needs a release after a myopic focus on one thing.  Diversifying your life is just as important as diversifying your portfolio.  Imagine, you played golf from sunrise to sunset everyday of your life from the age 2 to your early thirties.  Sooner or later, you might need a break.  We are not here to judge.  This is more of a public service announcement than anything else.  If the strongest mind in the world can step off the reservation, there is no hope for the rest of us.  Gentlemen beware, here are some of the alleged women that mind-f*cked our seasoned hero.
