Why is Miley Cyrus Maxim’s Hottest Woman of 2013?

Who actually thinks Miley Cyrus is worthy to top Maxim’s Hot 100 list? Of course she is good looking, but the market is full of dozens/hundreds of better looking celebrities. As stated from Cyrus: “It feels amazing to be No. 1, especially because it was voted on by the fans. I have the best fans in the world!” Was this actually voted on by fans or does Maxim have the final say? I guess controversy sells. FHM picks Mila Kunis as their Sexiest Woman for 2013 (a perfectly reasonable choice by most standards), and the public yawns. Maxim picks Miley Cyrus to top their Hot 100, and it gets everyone talking. Attention is what matters in today’s world, and Maxim’s choice is arguably “smarter” than FHM’s in terms of getting our attention for the advertisers in their magazines. Is Maxim playing a joke? Nope, they’re cashing in. Even the fake girlfriend of Manti Te’o appeared, sort of, at No. 69 on Maxim’s annual “Hot 100 List.” The industry still wants Miley to be the new Britney Spears, and they didn’t realize yet, that it’s not going to happen. I don’t think I can find a single person that agrees with this choice.

Farrah Abraham, Hot or Not?

Farrah Abraham, casted on MTV’s reality TV show Teen Mom in 2009, has been making a comeback in this week’s media. While Farrah has a great selection of half naked photos, and she looks good in a handful of them, is she really that hot? Well, at NSD we think she has a great body after having a kid, but unfortunately she doesn’t make it into the NSD Approved class. Not sure if all of that facial plastic surgery did her much good. We will award her with MILF of the month though.

More recently, details have leaked that Farrah has a sex tape being passed around. Maybe she thought if she makes a sex tape it would help her move up in celebrity status? I’m not complaining. However, TMZ broke the story … The sex tape was staged and was just recently filmed with porn star James Deen. Deen claims the Farrah Abraham sex tape is real — and he’s the guy featured in the video. Deen blew the lid off Farrah’s sex tape plot yesterday … telling us he was approached by a porn company to stage the sex tape over the weekend … and that Farrah was behind the whole thing.

Hump Day Weekly Update

What is going on this week? March has passed and Miami Ultra Music Festival is over. That doesn’t mean that we can’t keep UMF going on our headphones. Check out all the sets from Miami, some great listening material here. Also, yesterday Alesso posted his new song called “If I lose myself” featuing OneRepublic. Alesso never disappoints. For anyone in the DC area, he is performing at Echo Stage on April 19th, tickets are selling at only $30. Lalapalooza tickets recently went on sale but apparently they are already sold out.

On Sunday, everyone was devastated when they saw Kevin Ware break his leg against duke in the Elite 8 game. This guy is tough because he is motivated to overcome the injury and is already on his feet after surgery. Also, Mark Cuban suggested drafting Brittney Griner, former Baylor Star, to play for the Mavericks. She tweeted back that she is ready for tryouts. This would be interesting; however if Griner does try out for the NBA, she wouldn’t be the first female to do so. Ann Meyers was the first female to sign a free-agent contract with an NBA team when she signed with the Indiana Pacers in 1979, though she did not make the team and was released.

Lost of April fools jokes going around this week from a Google Maps Treasure Mode gimmick to Twitter charging to use vowels. Apparently Lindsay Lohan also played a little joke announcing on twitter she was pregnant. It was confirmed false but she did manage to leak some side boom content.

Rihanna In Just Boots And A Thong

Ray Lewis versus Deer Antler Extract and Anna Welker

A few things happened with Ray Lewis this week. First, According to Sports Illustrated, the iconic Baltimore Ravens linebacker tried to obtain deer-antler velvet extract in an attempt to speed the healing for a torn triceps that sidelined him for more than half the season. And second, he has accepted the apology of Anna Burns Welker, wife of New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, for unfortunate Facebook remarks she made about Lewis after the Ravens beat the Pats in the AFC championship game Jan. 20.

Not sure whether to believe either of these remarks, however the second brings us to an interesting topic. And that topic is Anna Welker. She’s about the only thing there is to like about the Patriots. And if Wes Welker leaves the Patriots this year, there will be a whole lot more to like about Anna. The 32-year-old Anna Burns Welker  from Fayetteville, North Carolina, was crowned the  2005 Miss Hooters International Pageant in Miami, FL, she was also named Miss December in the 2005 Hooters Calendar.The following year  Anna Burns was in the cover of the 2006 Hooter Magazine and calendar, add to that her appearances in tons of television commercials, no wonder she was voted the 2007 “Best Damn Dream Girl.” Anna Welker posed topless however she covered up the good stuff with her hands. Minka Kelly is probably at the top of the list when it comes to rock stars’ daughters. She’s not too famous of a celebrity but she is the daughter of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay. You may remember her from the Charlie’s Angels TV series or Friday Night Lights. She also dated Derek Jeter, I’m sure she received a gift basket from him. Her known-for list on IMDB may be a little short but she is super hot which is a guaranteed ticket onto NSD. Kate Upton Bikini Shoot in Antarctica

Just before the end of the world this week (according to the Mayan calendar), Kate Upton is sure to do a photo shoot in Antarctica. Kate Upton traveled to the Antarctic to pose for SI’s 2013 swimsuit issue. The model and a camera crew boarded a private 10-day cruise from Argentina to Antarctica and the photos were shot both on the cruise, with massive icebergs as a backdrop, as well as on the penguin-filled islands off the coast of the frozen continent. With temperatures as low as minus-35, Kate Upton’s bikini photos had to be taken carefully, in chunks of just a few minutes at a time. I think it’s safe to say she raised the temperature a bit. Week of the Wardrobe Malfunctions

kanyewestleatherskirtWhat was Kanye West thinking last night at the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy Relief concert at Madison Square Garden? You may have been fortunate to miss it but I’m sure you heard about it on Twitter and Facebook. The outspoken rapper performed in a black leather Givenchy skirt layered over a pair of tight leather pants for the event. His girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, tweeted, “Awwwwwwww I’m so excited right now!!!!! He looks so cute!!” His music is great but is style has been going down hill since the days he was popping his collar.

Additionally, Anne Hathaway flashed photographers as she was sliding out of her car with an under-skirt shot this week at her latest film premiere, Les Miserables, in New York City. I think most guys who saw The Dark Knight Rises were hoping that she would go commando in public sometime or another. We’re not digging her short haircut so much at NSD, but we’re happy to see she decided not to wear underwear at her premiere. Hathaway claims she is upset about the incident but what did she expect would happen if she constantly has paparazzi photographing her and she goes out without panties? See the pics here.
